Sallie Harmsen

Sallie Harmsen is an artist from Amsterdam. Most people know her from her work as an actress, but that won't be the subject here. 

She always had the urge to translate her inner world into drawings and paintings. Allthough life led her into a succesfull film and theatre career, she never stopped drawing and painting, this being a true necessity to her.

Her work is a paradoxal mix of realism and surrealism reflecting the absudity of everyday and the ambiguous feelings caused by being alive.
